Indian Idol 12 has become the talk of the town. The show has been popular since it began and this season has become the favourite of many. A lot of controversies took place this season. The team of Indian Idol 12 had shifted to Daman after Maharashtra announced lockdown. Now, the unit of Indian Idol 12 is back in Mumbai and is hoping to shoot here once the lockdown rules are eased by the government of Maharashtra. In an interview with ETimes, Aditya Narayan said that they used to shoot eight episodes in four days so they have content for the entire month. He feels it is safer taking a team of people keeping them in one place together and completing a shooting and coming back.
"We are now waiting for what Uddhav Thackerayji has to say about opening up the city. But I would say it is better to be in Mumbai as Covid is a very slimy character it is one of those villains who looks like a sidekick but turns out to be a megalomaniac and evil character. Imagine recommendations of wearing a mask at home, "he added. Recently, Aditya Narayan defended the Indian Idol 12 team after Amit Kumar said that he was forced to speak good about the Kishore Kumar special episode. Post that in the last episode of the show dedicated to Shravan Rathod, Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal were asked by Aditya if their praises for the contestants are genuine of were they forced. Now Udit has shared his thought criticising new talent is not a right thought and even went on to call his son 'childish'.
Speaking about his son, he added, "Aditya is not mature yet. He is childish and emotional. He has been on the show (Indian Idol) for some time and has got attached to it. That is why he got too sensitive. If you see, no one from the platform spoke (about the controversy) and the entire burden came upon Aditya." Udit explained that his son was not at fault and said, "I did not say anything to him as I fear he may go into depression, with so many people already on his case. But I will ask him, once all this is over, why was it that he got caught while everyone else (from the show) remained clean?"
