Pavitra Rishta 2.0: While Ankita Lokhande returns as Archana, THIS key character will be missing from the digital version

Pavitra Rishta was one of the biggest hits of Indian TV. The show ended in 2014, but even the re-runs are hits with its loyal audience. After the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, the show has developed an even deeper connect with all fans of Ankita Lokhande and the late actor. As we know, a digital version of the show is on the way. Ankita Lokhande will make a comeback as Archana while the male actor is yet to be finalised. There are rumors of Manit Joura being the main protagonist. One of the key characters of Pavitra Rishta was Usha Nadkarni as Savita Tai. The show would not have been a success without her fantastic performance. Everyone loved her in the audience.

But Usha Nadkarni is not going to be a part of the reprised version. She has confirmed the same to Pinkvilla. It seems her family is worried as she is 72 and a diabetes patient. They feel it is very risky for her to work in the pandemic. She told the portal, "No, I am not doing that. Because of the Covid scare, my family doesn't let me step out of the house. I am old, and I have diabetes too. In fact, I was a part of Marathi Bigg Boss for 77 days, and was called to be a part of the Hindi version of the show too for 15 days. Everything was finalised but then my son asked me not to participate in it, as one never knows from where you can get infected."

Usha Nadkarni shared a wonderful bond with the late actor. She has always spoken about how he was a happy young man whenever he was with them. The actress was left in tears as she paid a tribute to him at the Zee Rishtey Awards. His demise was a huge shock for everyone in the fraternity and his close ones from Pavitra Rishta.
